Convene magazine, produced by the Professional Convention Management Association based in Chicago. One of the ways Convene separated itself from market competition was using illustration on the covers. This direction was confirmed by CEO Deborah Sexton at an off-site meeting. When I heard this proclamation, I thought, now here is somebody who wants to be different, and break from the status quo and mediocrity. How wonderful!
