Case study for the 2 weeks project "TDLR" that I was working on during the UX/UI design bootcamp at Berkeley. The main challenge was time limitations - we had to go through the full design thinking process (empathy - definition - ideation - prototyping - testing) in 2 weeks. Research part was done with my partner Greg Park, and then we split to individual implementation on the step of ideation.
First interviews to define the main pain points of the potential users.
Based on the interview answers we started to build Affinity Diagram. (Step 1)

We clustered responds in order to create Empathy Map, that leads us to the user persona.
User Persona
I see it, I like it, I want it, I get it...
We used 'I like, I want, I wish' method to analyse one of TDLR's direct competitors Trip advisor. That approach helped us to define features that we would like to see in our app.

After first run of tests I simplified the flow (see Task Flow)

Lo-Fi prototype used for the first run of usability tests
Since I was limited in time I conducted only 2 usability tests. The feedback was very helpful and I simplified the flow even more.
Hi-Fi Prototype
Last step of the case study was guerrilla tests. Again, I deliberately decrease number of responders in order to have enough time for the final analysis.
