This R&D was done using Notch motion graphics software, it is incorporating various workflows and tools that this software offers.

Mixamo just updated the character library and I have to say Maynard is probably the nicest new character/model of them all, so I was messing about with it for the whole week doing some Path Traced stills and some real time animations. 
So I've landed on this idea of making a ton of instances of the same animation and offsetting them by a split second to make an impression of model producing trails.
Couldn't have gone far without Time Stretch node. This node did all the work to be honest :)



In Time Stretch Node, I've set Time Modification Mode to - Absolute Time, with that done I've gained  absolute control of animation time/speed. Once that was done I've set different time offset increments on Time Offset property on all the Time Stretch copies and piped the Envelope Modifier to all Time Stretch nodes Time property. - Done!
