30 years. Celebration of the fall of the Berlin Wall
9th of November 1989 I lived in the middle of West Germany in a small town. I can't remember what I did during these days. But I am sure I followed the fall of the Berlin Wall in the broadcast news in front of the television. May, this is the reason I can't remember in detail, what I did in these days. I was near to 18 years old...
In 2012 I moved to Potsdam. A city where I can imagine to spend the rest of my life. This city is full of history. From the younger time (East Germany) back to the times of Frederick the Great, who build up the Castle of Sanssouci.
The 9th of November 2019 was a special day for me. The "Glienicker Brücke", also known as the "Bridge of Spies" was illuminated over the whole weekend. I spend many hours to walk around the bridge to take a lot of pictures of this special weekend and moment in history. It is impressive to walk over that bridge, on which the borderline was between Eastern and West Germany.
With this project I want to share this special moment and the work, I did on that weekend. I hope you enjoy the following pictures and can feel also this emotions I felt and had.
