SILVER KING MINES
"In its heyday, at the beginning of the 20th century, the Silver King Mine was almost a community in itself. There were three boarding houses with over 100 men. There was an assay office for assessing mineral content, a machine shop, a superintendent's house, a mill, a loading station for a tramway carrying ore down into Park City and a pig farm. The building in front of you still contains a three-compartment shaft which is 1450 feet deep."
