LOW POLY SEA PORT STUDY
So I've been running around trying to figure out what 3D program I wanted to stick with. Started on Blender 2.7, then jumped to Cinema 4D. When that free trial was up I jumped over to Maya and then that trial expired. I loved C4D and Maya for various reason but the investment was pretty intense.

Then Blender came out with their 2.8 release and totally sold me. The interface is miles better, and the upgrades were hard to beat, especially when stacked up against the triple digit prices tags of its competitors.

So I jumped back and am relearning Blender. It's open source, it's free, and it's starting to get on a lot of people's radars getting massive donations from companies Ubisoft, Epic Games, NVidia, and Steam Workshops. So I figured the future of Blender is starting to look a lot more legitimized.

So I looked up some tutorials and came across this tutorial on YouTube by a 3D artist/instructor by the name of Grant Abbitt.

I highly recommend it if you're completely new to blender and want to learn some things. This tutorial specifically piggy backs on two other tutorials of his that cover a lo of ground and it's what I've been using to catch back up to speed and learn new things in this very complicated program.

Thanks for stopping through! It's definitely not perfect but it was a whole lot of fun to make. Learned a lot from this tutorial and can't express enough how much credit is owed to Grant Abbitt for the tutorial. Check out his videos and give that man some love!
