Linear clock.
Western cultures think of time linearly, yet the clocks they use, always show time in a circle. For those who put emphasis on planning activities and completing tasks at certain times, linear time represented visually would be much more intuitive and useful in many cases.
Monochronic linear thinking, developed by the western cultures relies on compartmentalization of activities. Ability to deeply focus on a narrow linear task, defined by schedules, was, after all, something that brought us great civilizations, new technology and experiences. And although eventually this system of thought, where time is finite and scarce brought us new fears, anxieties and isolation to the current world, there is a lot to learn from acknowledging how productive this type of thinking can be and how extremely large and complex structures of hierarchies can operate without becoming chaotic.
