A MARCA • THE BRAND

A criação da minha marca pessoal sempre me fez perder boas noites de sono. Me incomodava muito o fato de precisar definir algum símbolo e/ou cores para me representar visualmente.

Pode parecer mentira, mas cheguei a ter pesadelos pensando nisso. Era um sentimento assombroso, que me deixava espantado e ao mesmo tempo impressionado pela maneira de como isso me afetava.

Após diversas tentativas e frustrações, eu resolvi utilizar esse sentimento de “Assombro” a meu favor, e cheguei ao símbolo que você irá conhecer nessa apresentação.

Creating my personal brand has always made me lose good nights sleep. It bothered me a lot the fact that you need to define some symbol and / or colors to represent me visually.

It may seem a lie, but I had nightmares thinking about that. It was an amazing feeling that amazed me and impressed at the same time by the way it affected me.

After several attempts and frustrations, I decided to use this “Haunting” feeling in my favor, and I came to the symbol that you will meet in this presentation.

ANOTAÇÕES E RASCUNHOS • NOTES AND DRAFTS

Com a ideia pré-definida, foi a hora de colocar tudo no papel, e avaliar se de fato ela poderia me representar de alguma maneira.

Mas como saber isso se nem eu mesmo sabia “quem eu era”, e “do que eu gostava”?

Foi nesse momento que percebi o quão eu tinha me deixado de lado, e focado apenas nas outras pessoas que estavam ao meu redor. Não sabia qual era minha música favorita, seriados, filmes, eu absolutamente não sabia nada sobre mim mesmo.

Deixo aqui meu agradecimento para Diana Coe, e minha amiga e também designer, Renata Santos.

O processo de auto conhecimento da Diana e a colaboração da Renata foram fundamentais para a finalização deste projeto.

Após um profundo processo de auto conhecimento, chego a conclusão de que sim, a ideia inicial me representaria, e até melhor do que imaginei inicialmente. Então foi a hora dos inúmeros “rabiscos”, até chegar a versões que pudessem ser testadas.

With the predefined idea, it was time to put everything on paper, and assess if indeed she could represent me in some way.

But how do I know that if I didn't even know it? “Who I was” and “what I liked”?

It was then that I realized how much I had set me aside, and focused only on the other people around me. Did not know what was my favorite song, series, movies, I absolutely knew nothing about myself.

I leave here my thanks to Diana Coe, and my friend and designer Renata Santos.

Diana's self-awareness process and the Renata's collaboration were fundamental to the completion of this project.

After a deep process of self awareness, I conclude that yes, the initial idea would represent, and even better than I imagined initially. So it was time for countless scribbles, until you get versions that could be tested.

CORES • COLORS

• BRANCO

Por ser apaixonado por todas as cores, e com uma grande dificuldade em escolher uma delas para me representar, optei pela escolha do branco pelo fato de ser o reflexo de todas as cores quando não são absorvidas, refletindo todas elas, causando assim a ausência de cor.

• PRETO

Optei pelo preto pelo mesmo motivo da escolha do branco, com a sútil diferença de que a cor preta nada mais é do que a absorção de todas as cores, sem refletir nenhuma delas.

• WHITE
Being passionate about all colors, and having great difficulty choosing one of them to represent me, I chose to choose white because it is a reflection of all colors when not absorbed, reflecting all of them, thus causing the absence of color.

• BLACK
I chose black for the same reason I chose white, with the subtle difference that black is nothing more than the absorption of all colors without reflecting any of them.
