For my three part vinyl project I went with the artist Joji, who is an alternative pop singer. My three favorite songs from him are "CANT GET OVER YOU", "TEST DRIVE", and "DANCING IN THE DARK". These three songs have very different feelings, although they are all about love. Every album piece I did was based off of their music video to that song. I incorporated in each piece a way of travel, one with shoes, one with a car, and one with roller blades.

This one below is his song "SLOW DANCING IN THE DARK". It is about a girl leaving him and him thinking he is not good enough and she should move on anyways. In the music video he is actually singing in the rain. However in the video he is half goat so he would not be wearing shoes anyways, but I wanted to incorporate shoes as a means of walking. I put the shoes together standing because this song is about loss of love and that love does not work out, so he is at a standstill on where to go and what to do next. The shoes overfill with water representing his sadness.

The second song was called "TEST DRIVE". This one is also a sad song but has a more chill beat to the song. Joji is talking about his relationship with another girl going south and how their relationship is now just a test drive. In the music video he is actually driving a red car in a desert area. My interpretation of this are bright contrasted colors that stand out, having the sand be much more orange and the car bright red. The car is in motion meaning that their relationship is still going and whirling out of control.

This last album cover is the song "CANT GET OVER YOU". This cover is actually suppose to be the first cover in order of the three. Joji talks about how he is head over heals for this girl and the song definitely shows that. It is very bubbly and dreamy, and the roller blades show that he is not on ground foot, and that his body is now on wheels showing an airy light feeling in how he is travelling. The roller blades were also in his music video.
