2019 was set to be a career defining year for Raja Kumari with her being announced as the headliner of NH7, India’s largest music festival. The challenge was to translate her music into a clutter breaking visual experience acrossstage visuals

The Idea
We wanted to create a futuristic cyberpunk interpretation of Kumari Kandam (Lemuria), a mystical sunken kingdom claimed to be the birthplace of mankind. Traditional Hindu motifs from mythology and history such as the Hampi temple, Adiyogi statue, Nataraja and Airavat were given a cyberpunk treatment to reflect the confluence of the past and the future, much like Raja Kumari’s music.
