The inspiration for my type book was the Beatles film, Yellow Submarine. Using Frutiger's font, Avenir, I designed my 32 page book based on the futuristic world of the blue meanies and Sgt Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band. Using handmade water color paper, and free hand sketches, the images in this book featuring the Beatles were all self-done. I decided to use the font Avenir to demonstrate my art and project because of the clean, sans serif design. My color theme resembles the psychadelic, rainbow colors used in 1968 when the film was created.
