平和紙業株式会社と行った、印刷媒体としての紙とは異なる魅力を発見するプロジェクト。
紙が反る・紙が折れる、この２つの特性に着目し新しい機能を付加した紙を開発しました。
曲げ成形を施し強度を向上させた紙「ウェーブ」と、折り加工を施し伸縮性を付加した紙「ジャバラ」。

それらの開発と活用例としてのプロダクトをデザインしています。
This project is to find the new value of paper with the Heiwa Shigyo which is Japanese paper company.
We, B6 studio, developed the papers with the new value from the characteristics of paper that are "warp" and "fold".
"Wave Paper" is the reinforced sheet of paper with bend forming, and "Jabara Paper" is the stretchable paper with folds.
The followings are the outcomes of this project by utilizing the these two new papers.
Wave Paper
紙の表面が水分によって伸縮する特性を応用し、二次曲面の成形方法を開発しました。
紙表面の伸縮をコントロールする為の少量の水と形矯正用の簡易型だけで成形が可能です。
熱もプレスも必要としない新たな成形方法です。
成形する事で紙自体の強度も増し、伸ばしても容易に元のウェーブ状に戻る性質があります。
"Wave Paper" is the paper made with the whole new forming method.
B6 studio focused on the characteristics of paper that moisture makes the paper flexible.
It requires only a little water to manage the flexibility and simple mold to give the shape. Heat and pressure is not required.
This process give the paper strength, and even if the formed paper is pulled, it would easily back to the original shape.

It is stackable freely and has rigidity, therefore memo pads and digital devices can be placed between the grooves.

紙へ均等に折加工を施した紙です。
伸縮性があり、強度も向上しています。切る・重ねる・曲げる・貼ることも容易です。

Folds give it the flexibility and rigidity and still it can be cut, stuck, bend, and bond.
