An experienced real estate developer Stephen Reeder serves as the CEO of the UCR Group. Stephen Reeder supports charitable initiatives and donates to the Loma Linda University Health, which operates the Loma Linda Medical Center.
On November 26, 2019, the Loma Linda University Cancer Center, a division of the Loma Linda University Health, received a check worth $4,260 for the benefit of the breast cancer patients at the Cancer Center. The funds were proceeds from a fundraising drive initiated by the Loma Linda Firefighter’s Association.
In October, the members of the Loma Linda Firefighter’s Association sold customized breast cancer awareness T-shirts to raise funds for the Cancer Center. Chris Dejong, the association’s president stated that they wanted to do more than just protect the community from fires.
According to Loma Linda University Cancer Center executive director Judy Chatigny, the association’s contributions will be used to support the patient resource center, which provides patients with access to support services, such as chair massages during treatment, wigs and an appearance center, distress counseling, transportation assistance, and more. The mission of the resource center is to help patients with things outside of insurance coverage.
