Design an Interface for the News 24 iPhone Application
This was a college project whereby we were instructed to design a new interface for the News 24 iPhone application. The concept behind this specific interface design was to incorporate the Mac styled wheel navigation found on the iPod with the the advanced touch screen capacity of the iPhone. Thus the core of the application's navigation was the wheel menu configuration. This allowed the design of the menu to cover a broader selection as the inner and outer wheels could both be manipulated independently allowing for a higher variety of choices while remaining on one screen. Thus providing users did not have to navigate multiple menus to reach the desired information. This however was a conceptual and aesthetic project, thus the application was never prototyped into a working example.
