Custom Ergonomic Monitor Pedestals

As someone who stands and sits quite a bit, I felt that it was important to elevate my computer monitors to my eye level. My friend Naush Ibrahim took my sketches and measurements and designed these. Everything was made with recycled pieces of white corrugate extras. No printing. Cut at Proprint using one of these bad boys.
My buddy Naush is a structural genius. As the head of the Proprint Structural Design Department, he knows how to work efficiently. He also has a knack for taking chicken scratches like the ones below and turning them into art.
Traced the footprints for accurate measurements.
Using the existing feet of my Apple monitors, we were able to carve out sturdy pedestals that also act as charging / plug in shelves.
One of my favourite features is the ledge that we added. Sized for placing standard 8.5" x 11" pages, the inclination allows for a perfect spot to place my note books or read a printed briefing. This small touch has taken my productivity up a notch.
Rough digital renderings
I started with some stacks of books to get a height that allowed me to see all three monitors without twisting my neck. When I found a comfortable position for all three, I made this crude rendering below:
All of my computer equipment is physically secured. These enclosures also hide alarms that deter theft and capture high resolution images of anyone who comes near it . Clean and secure.
This design has had a profound effect on my posture and productivity. So much so that we're tempted to turn it into a product line. Time will tell.
