In this chaos, Gülhatun Yıldırım choses to stand still first. Then she watches from afar, fixing her body on the wall, she synthesizes the state of inclusion/exclusion with submission. And she becomes a whole with the concrete/wall. Through the performance based on the act of standing, artist enters to a loop between these two extremes in repetition and in rejection. Action that is fundamentally meditative and contractive, she actualizes this unification. While creating a safe space for observation, the artist becomes a part of the Performance Room and she investigates the need/desire of existence between these two combined sensations.
