A personal screenprinting project from a sketch I made!

This original art piece is named Sárka.
it means flesh in greek.
The bust quickly dissolve in what in what could be seen as a bloodful piece of flesh.

Classical proportions and ideals of beauty, in the end, are just a way of seeing a piece of meat...

This was my first attemp at screenprinting.
From a first sketch made late at work (very loose), numerized and separated in layers of colors with halftone patterns.

This screenprint would not exist without the expert help and classes of Iris, from La Bourgeoise Serigraphe, based in Montreal. I strongly recommand you check her work!

the original drawing is strongly influenced by Javier Marin's sculptures.
