Yes We Can is the conceptual brand of a canning company that offers a unique variety of pickled food products. The branding and overall design consists of rustic elements mixed with a bright colour palette and friendly type. The products comes in two sizes and are held in a wooden crate that doubles as a carry-able container.
‘Yes We Can’ offers a unique and delicious selection of pickled food products. Pickling, and the pickled products of ‘Yes We Can,’ supports a sustainable solution to consumer food waste by promoting the conversion of unused everyday food items into pickled treats and providing buyers with reusable jars once they have finished the product.
The final design was inspired by a mix between rustic and naturalistic, and bright and bold influences. This fusion and the overall aesthetic of the product attracts a younger generation of consumers unfamiliar with pickled products outside the mainstream market such as those sold at farmers markets or those containing food products other than the commonly sold pickles and sauerkraut. The design offers a fresh take on traditional packaging found in the pickled product marketplace while paying tribute to its pre-established packaging norms.
The design is also functional, doubling as a stackable crate and a carry-able object. This duality ensures consumer comfort and retailer and distributor space efficiency.
