Life and Soap
ICM Studios recently created two idents in conjunction with Second Home Studios, for the company Da Vinci Kids to use as short intro shots to their material. The first one was named “Life” and the second one was “Soap”.
In “Life”, we began with a shot of the nucleus of a cell, before the animation panned out to reveal, multiple cells, and then a nautilus (the Da Vinci logo). Similarly, “Soap” began with the nucleus of an atom, that became a soap bubble molecule, and then a shot of regular soap bubbles and the Da Vinci logo.
We used a variety of software to create these two animations, including Maya Autodesk, Renderman, Zync, Houdini, Zbrush, Nuke and After Effects. Picasso Pictures loaned us their render farm to render out "Life".
