The Mind Dies First, Life-Fading Into Mists of Nonrecognition
This triptych is a representation of the stages of the Alzheimer's disease.
I wanted to use a lace texture to represents the fragility of memories, our minds and our identity. The hand is meant to represent a person’s identity, our fingerprints are identifiers. Without them we are considered to have no identity, we become unidentifiable. Much like our hands, our memories and life experiences affect who we are and without these memories, who are we?
