In 2018 Sushi Bar Burgas invited me to draw on their shop window.
Their idea was to periodically invite different artists to transform the shop-front in their own style. It was an honor for me to be the first one invited.
The drawing I decided to make was entirely freestyle, without a project or beforehand planning. I decided to draw the owner of the place in my interpretation, while also involving traditional Japanese style elements.
The best part in projects like this one is that, since it’s an open space and many people pass by, you have the opportunity to observe their reactions while they’re watching you working.
It’s always so inspiring and energizing when you hear people’s positive comments and know they’re happy with what they see.
