Data can be found in the most unexpected places. 

As part of my green card application, my partner and I had to prove that our relationship was real or bonafide. Digging through archives of photos, emails, flights, and phone exchanges, I discovered that Google Hangout, the tool we used to most to communicate, gives you access to your entire history of texting.

The visualization shows our texts exchanges, each day from Sept 1st 2018 to August 31st, 2019. For each day, the number of characters is indicated and the person who talked the most is displayed. 
But our relationship is not just based on numbers of characters, it's also a lot of emojis and kind words. To bring the human dimension back to the infographics, I marked by hand, everyday we exchanged "I love you" or Hearts emoji and specific event in our relationship.
