This project was undertaken to provide Atlas Honda with a sophisticated continuous circular welding machine.The purpose  of the machine is to weld the locking lid with the fuel tank while ensuring the continuous feeding of filler metal. The jig bench along with the locking lid holder die is  lifted with the help of double rod pneumatic system which fixes the assembly on rotating arm. Rotating arm rotates with fixes rpm for uniform deposition rate. Feed wire is drawn with the help of shaping pulleys for required feeding shape. Following machine design calculations were performed for design

1) Bore and stroke length calculations suited for the pneumatic lines pressure running in factory from main industrial compressor room

2) Gear ratio calculation and iterative method for required face width of gears and load on gear teeth

3) Groove sizes for drawing and shaping pulleys of feeding system

4) simulation of welding operation with SIMUFACT WELDING for designing of cooling system for fuel tank jigs and dies
