Designing Effective Data Tables
Guidelines and examples for understanding the user's experience
Whilst browsing a few UI sites I came across the page at http://understandinggraphics.com/design/data-table-design which was sorely in need of examples. Using the headings as inspiration I have created a set of guideline examples and accompanying texts which may help UI designers when creating data tables for display to their users. My aim is to get across how the user perceives the data in the table and how their processing of the content data can be improved by designing the table in such a way as to give the target audience the best experience.
