History Of Style Design Projects - Alberto Giacometti

Here's some results from a five-day school project about history of style. We had to find inspiration after three days of studying at different museums in Hamburg, Germany.

The first assignment was to create a poster entitled Museum Without Walls using 16 images of art and design artefats that inspired us.

Secondly we had to choose one or several images from our museum documentation and history of style research and design one of the following : CD cover, packaging design, go card or post card design, T shirt design, art museum poster design. Or create an independent work of art (photo, drawing, installation concept, video etc. based on one or more images that inspired us from our museum visits in Hamburg. The style of the image should be reflected in these design or art projects.

In this second assignment I was inspired by Alberto Giacomettis sculptures and sketches of faces. He never made a selfportrait-sculpture so I wanted to create one for him.
