    After a successful and highly acclaimed digital 2011 Annual Report, we realized that if we tried to outdo ourselves every year, we would end up "setting ourselves on fire" to please the crowd. So, rather than failing at topping a great report, we moved into a different lane and approached the report in a way that would be unique. We settled on a "choose-your-own-adventure" model, allowing the user to explore and drill down into the details of any area they were interested in, rather than force them through a paginated series of information they may or may not find relevant to their visit. The grid menu and entire hexagon theme were inspired by the simple shape being used as a design element throughout the print/magazine version of the report. Technically, we again wanted to push the envelope of how we used various features together. This site utilizes CSS and HTML to create smooth animations that take the user in and out of the levels of data in each category. This site was also the first ever 100% Retina web presence for Elevation Church. Read Less
