This one is of this kind. Mao Fonnegra, one of the top techno DJs and producers in Colombia and I met thru a common friend. He wanted "something like a brand but that not feels like a brand". Actually, the conversation derivate into "a shameless self promotion project. Like a douchebag yelling for attention". So, how can create something like this?
Long hair, Almost Vantablack clothes. High heels. It can be the description of a metal head. But not this time. This is Mao Fonnegra.
Using his surname as inspiration (Fonnegra is an older version for Fonte Negra, that means black font). So, I used this info for create a unique font for this project. Fonnegra is a blackletter (almost a Rudolph Koch creation) that is the core of the brand system. Hoodies, skateboards, cigarette boxes, lighters, matches, traffic light stickers... you can find this items in the weirdest places you can imagine.
