B. Alex Thompson's script was the first lenghthy one I drew, a full 22 pages issue. It was a challenge, but at the same time I could play with longer scenes, breaking up the action in more panels.
Silent panels can convey a lot of information; tension, anticipation, awkwardness, fear. I miss a lot these pauses in western comics, so I always try to break up the scenes to give more atmosphere to them.
Each author I work with is as if I'm helping to give shape to an entire world, whether it's a five-page short or an ongoing serie.
