I still keep a suitcase in Berlin

This project is based on a personal perception of Berlin mixed with one of the most common “urban aesthetics” that it offers, accompanied by a verse from a Marlene Dietrich song.

Berlin was, at first sight, perceived as a “grey” city. The cement, the various grey-toned buildings and often the bad weather, made the color associated with the German capital, grey. Another element that attracted attention from. the very beginning was the huge amount of surfaces, such as walls, streetlights and doors, covered with all kind of stickers

There were many things that made Berlin one of my favorite cities, and that is why to give voice to the project, the song Berlin by Marlene Dietrich was chosen. She sang this song to express her feelings  for this exciting city. Her feeling of always wanting to keep a suitcase in Berlin so she could travel back and stay whenever she wanted, will ring true with many who have lived in this incredibly amazing and special city.
