Air Charter Safety Foundation Comments on NTSB Most

Edgar Alacan is a New Jersey-based entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in the aviation industry, with much of this time being spent at jets.com, a firm he helped to establish in 2008. During this period, Edgar Alacan has supported and been a member of several professional organizations, including the Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF).

The ACSF has recently reacted to the most wanted list by the federal National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), which outlines a variety of safety improvements that the aviation authority would like to see implemented. Speaking about the most wanted list, ACSF president Bryan Burns has made several recommendations on how the organization’s members can meet the enhanced safety suggestions.

He suggests that members implement a safety management system (SMS) if they haven’t already done so, while also adding flight data monitoring (FDM) programs to their operations. Alongside this, Mr. Burns notes that members should have discussions with their executive teams about how best to meet the recommendations laid out in the NTSB's most wanted list.
