Digg It All is an LA-based DJ collective that specializes in collecting, curating and playing forgotten and popularized, rare and common records - all under the tenet of funk.
The collective has been born recently and we helped them release a clean, recognizable yet meaningful mark to reach their target niche and make a difference within their pretty saturated market.
Constantly finding themselves at the crossroads between the analog and the digital world, the group chose the name Digg It All as an allusion to digging all forms of music, contemporary and timeless, as well as to the well known practice of digging for records.
Two mystique universal symbols were used in the conceptualization of the desired logo. First, the hand comes with a double meaning: it represents fortune, luck or fate, but also channels the tool of tools - as explained by Aristotle.
Complementing the same ancient symbolism, the second element used is
the disc - or vinyl record. While it mainly represents the medium through which the musical collective expresses itself, it also doubles as a symbol for the sun - thus encapsulating a more personal meaning for the artists.
The main typeface for Digg It All is Eckmannpsych, a psychedelic version of Otto Eckmann's Eckmannschrift, designed by OHNO Type Co. Due to its monochromatic definition, the logo generally comes in black and white,
but is also adaptable to diverse applications that require color flexibility.
Digg It All emerged in the hope of enhancing the way people feel music,
through reviving the great old sound of the golden era of recording.
