Ambidextrous Timepiece for Urban Nomads

TurtleTimeware is a watch inspired by the form of a turtle’s shell that encompasses utilitarian aesthetics and functional design elements. The watch case is a solid, architectural structure made from surgical-grade stainless steel. Its unibody shell eliminates the need for lug pins and allow the military-grade, herringbone-woven NATO strap to be securely attached to the watch case.

To cater for both left and right-handed use, Turtle Timeware has an ambidextrous agile date-and-time adjustment crown. It is positioned between the lower lugs, thus achieving symmetry and a seamless form with no protruding corridor.

Shell

Inspired by the archtype of a turtleshell, the shell forms a solid and architectural structure, made up of 316L stainless steel. The shell lugs are designed as a unibody to connect the military grade herringbone weave NATO strap securely, eliminating the need for lug pins.​​​​​​​

Head

The head is the crown jewel of the Turtlehead Timeware to cater for both left and right-handed operation, the solution is an ambidextrous agile date and time adjustment crown. It is designed to position in between the lower lugs, achieving a symmetry and seamless unibody with no protruding corridor.

GUTS

With an intensive study of movement assembly, the solution lies in rotating the movement 90 degrees clockwise internally. Encased in the shell is a Seiko SII NH-35A automatic movement nests orderly and securely.

Night Vision

The hour, minute, second hands and markers are specified and coated with Superluminova C3 for long-lasting neon green fluorescent glow-in-the-dark visibility.

Pack

The pack aims to focus on the watch design with a minimalist presentation. The accessories and manual are hidden under the upper layer EVA foam holder. The pack can be converted into a storage for accessories by removing the EVA foams. The pack encourage ecological sustainability.
