For this surface design project the theme given to us was 'Enchanted forest' from which we had to pick up a sub theme for which I had taken 'Coniferous forest' as my theme, from that forest I had picked up birds, mushrooms, flowers and insects to work on and use them as my motifs for the surface design.
For this project of textile art I have made a four piece textile art which can be used together or as single pieces too. For the making of these pieces I have used techniques like layering, hand and machine embroidery, smocking, fabric painting and appliqué .
