ICE, GLORIOUS ICE

Ice, glorious ice. It's melting all around the planet now, and while I haven't been to the extreme locations where most of the attention goes regarding climate change, I have seen the effects of global warming in southeast Alaska, where huge chunks of ice, large enough to be called icebergs, technically, are now sloughing off the glaciers there. This has given me a somewhat bittersweet opportunity over the past years to capture abstracts and details of ice that it ancient - compressed, pure ice that is centuries old that now floats in the sea, slowly disappearing into the ocean's salty mix.
