IMS 259 Adobe Illustrator Project

For this project, we were asked to choose an insect and then find an image of it on Google that we wanted to recreate by using a variety of different tools within Adobe Illustrator. I chose to create this butterfly because I loved the exquisite pattern of its wings and the freedom it gave me to be creative with the color palette. For the title of my piece, I chose a serif typeface and then used the eyedropper tool within Illustrator to ensure that the color correlated perfectly with the color in the butterfly's wing. I chose to pair a script typeface with the serif typeface because the contrast between these two different styles created greater visual interest.
