Brief: The client is a small studio of Interior and Furniture Designers who consult with Real Estate teams to retrofit small businesses for new clients. The poster must contain the following text: Commercial Style & Design. Sustainable retrofitting options for small commercial spaces. Context Statement
When designing the poster I decided to try a different layout to what the brief had sampled as I wanted to experiment with layout and balance. I chose the layout as I believe it is eye catching and unique. The colours I used also all complimented each other and were present within the images I chose. The title font I believed gave off a stylish design and the remaining text was complimentary and easy to read.
Software Skills
Whilst designing my interior poster I used Adobe InDesign CC to create it. The tools in InDesign I used were text boxes, frame tool and the rectangle tool. I experimented with hierarchy and positioning of images within the frames.
Feedback
I realised once bringing my poster to class that it was meant to be in landscape layout, therefore I had to change the poster to the new layout. I was given the feed back to go with the design that had white writing for the heading with no background as seen in V02. I was also told that the colour of the red accent boxes should be changed, therefore I made them a colour that suits the brown wood in the hero image.
