Made in New East. Designed for the world
EMERGE is the only international tech conference that brings together most promising startups, talent and ecosystem players from the New East region—including countries from Eastern Europe, the Balkans, and Central Asia. Being held in Belarus, EMERGE has become the hotbed for deep tech, founders, community leaders, bigger companies and investors from across the region.
This year was the second time EMERGE conference happened in Minsk and gathered more than 2500 people, including startups, investors, speakers, designers, marketers and many more.
And this year I was responsible for the whole visual communication, including digital experience, physical stuff, venue decoration, and navigation and more. My main goal was to refresh the existing identity and make it more loud, vibrant and digital. I broke some rules of the previous year style guide—changed the way the gradients were treated by making them more chaotic and artistic. Used both blue and red in digital, and mostly red in print, yellow became a secondary accented color.
The website is built on tilda.cc that worked perfectly for the conference's purposes. It is a simple long read and that's great for such a project since it's easy to add, change, or delete content blocks on the go. The website lived and developed along with the conference, it had three states—pre-conf, during the conf and post-conf.
