This project was a true labor of love. The 1988 McLaren MP4/4 is one of the most iconic racing cars of all time and 2009 saw Brawn GP achieve one of the sports greatest underdog triumphs. In these two pilot episodes I had the pleasure to write, direct and present a thorough retrospective of the two cars. The target? Bring their story to life with 3D, motion graphics and archive footage in a way that had never been done before.

Working with a team of talented designers and animators, we brought the cars back to life and stripped it down to delve into the technical details that made it such a success.

To add to this, we pulled hundreds of the images out of the archive and brought them to life with 2.5D animation. They became two of the most successful videos on Autosport's Youtube channel, with incredibly positive fan engagement. 

Given the success of these pilot episodes, this project is something I hope to explore further in future to delve into the incredible stories behind these legendary machines.
