What does the modern beauty industry look like for Nigerian women? In a society riddled with the colourism of 'bleach is better' and 'you're fine for a dark-skinned girl'- YouSkin represents a new generation of Nigerian woman: the melanin-magic gen, the lean-in gen, the me-too gen. These women are redefining the narrative of what it is to be a Nigerian woman today - confident in your own skin - free from societal expectations and forging your own path.

The brand identity positions YouSkin as a liberator, as the voice of a generation of women that just want to be. Visually, the use of a shocking take on the traditional pink in the brand's initial launch and its subsequent pairing with iridescent gradients carries this message through the brand - 'we will not conform". The logo is simple and modern - using using thin, minimalist strokes for to create a wordmark reflecting the brand's commitment to revolutionising skincare.
