Interactive Art Exploration - Form and Material

What if an animal lived deep under the desert sand and gone unseen by human eyes since inception ?? What if it had come up to the surface for the first time ever to see the day light of its home planet ???

The below form was an experimentation to understand how Material, Light, Texture, Color plays an important role in Form perception - which normally relates shape, size and curves.

The sand on top of the piece was loose and the direction of flow can be altered with hand or a brush, by that way creating an interactive experience with the user. 

Isnt that art pieces are meant to touch people ???
