Happy Holidays! It is that time of the year, and our friends at Samsung were in need of some help wishing all of the visitors to Times Square, a Happy Holiday season. The project guidelines were simple, create a festive and appealing holiday greeting to be shown on Samsung’s Times Square display.

Concept Development
Several different concepts were explored before arriving at the final visuals. Below are various type options as well as the final two concept proposals.
Concept I: 'Tis the Season
’Tis the Season is a graphical representation of the Holiday season. The environment would be a colorful festive montage of seasonal elements. The piece would lead the viewer through a rich seasonal environment, highlighting various holiday greetings throughout, before finally arriving on the Happy Holidays text and the Samsung logo.
Concept II: Holiday City
Holiday City is based on a visually rich, typography based, snow covered city. The buildings of the city would be constructed from various holiday sayings and greetings. The red ribbon element would be used to lead the viewer through thecity, before finally arriving at a typographic version of Samsung’s Times Square display.
