Max and Alice - School Journal NZ
'Max and Alice' (written by Bernard Beckett) is a story featuring in the New Zealand School Journal, at Year 4 reading level. It is a contemplative and sensitive story hosting themes of autism, bullying, and friendship, of which required special consideration in the tone portrayed through the illustrations. My fourth year illustration class was tasked with the live brief of creating illustrations for the 7 page story. I was successful in having my work chosen to be published for the story in the nationwide journal in August 2019.
