Philo Ridge Farm is a diversified working farm that integrates livestock, orchards, gardens, and community events. Situated on 400 acres of pasture and woodlands in Charlotte, Vermont, the farm develops and implements practices founded in regenerative agriculture to aid in soil recovery and the strengthening of the ecosystem.
The farm sought our help in developing identity materials and a communication plan to help spread the word of their mission and resources to their community, partners, and visitors. They have a variety of livestock, including the distinctive Belted Galloway cattle that served as the inspiration for the logo. In developing the logo, our goal was to create an arresting mark to serve as the cornerstone of an identity program while suggesting that theirs is a unique and contemporary mission. It also manages, as an added bonus, to incorporate a stylized map of Vermont.
