ICE TITANS
"Glaciers, colossal figures of ice that dance aimlessly after a long process since its inception as liquid water. They swarm in a calm that ends a slow and violent erosive process. Now they are shown as statues carved capriciously by the elements of nature".
A glacier is a significant accumulation of crystalline ice, snow, rock, and sediments that originates on land and moves slowly down a valley from above the snowline towards the sea under the force of gravity.
Ice, because its reflectivity white color, acts like a protective cover over the Earth and our oceans and sends back the excess heat back into space and keep the planet cooler.
Climate change favors the rapid glacial melt in Antarctica and Greenland. It also influences ocean currents, as massive amounts of frigid glacial-melt water entering warmer ocean waters are slowing ocean currents. The main consequences of this will be rising sea level, sinking land, eroding coasts, and temperamental storms.
