The Chosen One
My daughter was about to be born and I wanted to reflect that moment in my own way. I'm no expert in newborn photography and there are already very good photographers out there in that discipline. I thought about a giant bird carrying my daughter but I preferred to steer away from storks in blue skies or pastel backgrounds and give it a darker, more mysterious touch. Initially I had a raven in mind, so I worked towards getting that shot. I did, but following a friend's advice, I prepared a backup image with an owl. The latter shot turned out to be a better one, so I ended up and pleased with the result.
"Night Hunter" - This is an unplanned shot that I took during the session with the owl for "The Chosen One". I couldn't miss the opportunity considering I was so close to her.
