«Soviet Cyberpunk» short it is Kickstarter project, for which I created Intro Sequence.
Just before the start of the project, I was searching for a new visual direction. I spend dozens of hours of searching and experimenting. I wanted to understand which stage of graphics production I like the most.
The conclusion I came to is that lighting and colors are the main tools for interacting with the audience. We can make the audience laugh, cry, empathize, or get angry by using them.
Therefore, a deep study of lighting is exactly what I decided to start this project with. And already, in the process of creating the first concepts, I realized that I did not need colors to tell this story.
So I easily came up with all the concepts, modeled assets, added a pinch of materials, finalized the lighting and sent everything to a one week render.
