Late Night Adventure
Design Process
With all the work assignments I had going on, I finally had a break and wanted to create an illustration study practicing two point perspective.

I wanted to make this witch close up while objects or landscape were far off.

The challenge I had creating this illustration was the clouds and perspective. I relied on the graph to help guide the proportions. From there, I blocked in the night sky and built up the clouds in layers to solve my problems creating clouds.

Along with two point perspective practice, lighting was a challenge for me and glad I got to tackle it by using textured brushed to give that glowing and atmospheric effect.

Besides this illustration being practice, I was inspired to make this piece because it was a break from the busy life in my third year of illustration. Every time I would work in the studio and walk home after a long day of work, looking up at the night sky reminded me how I need to pause and appreciate what was around me. I couldn't get those thoughts out of my mind and had to illustrate it.
