Portrait Lighting

For this project i was asked to shoot portraits in the studio demonstrating broad, short, loop, butterfly, Rembrandt and split. These are some portraits I took. for my setup i used one light and a reflector and a black background.
Broad Lighting
This is where the subject is turned from the center and a side of the face is lit while the other side is in shadow.
Short Lighting.
This is where the largest side of the face is in shadow and the part of the face that is turned toward the light source is lit.
Butterfly Lighting.
This is where the light is placed above the subject and tilted down. The camera is then placed behind the light.
Rembrandt Lighting.
This is where the light is placed above the subjects head and a triangle like shadow is under the nose or on the cheek.
Split Lighting
The light is placed next to the subject, splits the face in two parts where one side is lit and the other side is in shadow.
Loop Lighting
This is where the light is placed above the eye level and 30 degrees from the camera.
