To Begin - North Greenwich Peninsula

Street photography = documenting people in their everyday environment.

My idea for this project is to involve people to see how they are connected in the North Greenwich peninsula roads, trying to capture the perfect moments and represent them as they are spontaneously.

My idea is going to connect with my colleagues through the word theme "CONNECTION", showing the different kind of generation into North Greenwich and how they're growing into the peninsula.

INSPIRATIONS

> PASCAL MAITRE - Dangerous Desert

We choose him as a inspiration because of the similar kind of photography that we’re going to shoot: street, portraits, architecture, fashion (cultures of the people).

> ALAN SHALLER

He is one of my favourite street photographers because of his games with shadows and lights. He said in an interview what exactly I think: "light and shadow can be used to reimagine a scene and add drama"

You can't exactly explain in words but you can see some example of what me and Alan think here in some of his shoots:

I know him because his famous photos of skateboarding but beyond this he inspired me a lot for his street photograph works. Colours, people and perfect moments are into some of these photos.

HERE MY FINAL SHOOT:

What worked:

The candid pose of my subjects it's perfectly in the middle of the source of the light and I took the shoot in the perfect second! The chiaroscuro effect that I wanted to emphasise is perfectly done.

What didn't worked:

The print picture came out really dark, so the actual exposure of the photo next time will need to be higher.
