I made this projetc for a carpet design contest.
The theme of the contest was the sustainability of the wool as material for carpets.
I was looking for a simple and essential design because the realization of the carpet would be handmade.
What inspired my design was the macro structures of this natural material.
The first step was to create a moodboard of the micro structure of the material and the weaving techniques.
The next step was to synthesize the structures in basic shapes.
Finally I choose different color palettes and finalized the design.
